Improved community experience and parenting information: what’s new on the EasyPeasy app?

Here at EasyPeasy, we want to give every child the best start in life, and every parent and caregiver the tools to make that happen. So, we’ve been listening, learning, and co-designing with parents, practitioners, and partners to make the EasyPeasy experience simpler, smarter, and more useful for our diverse community of families.

What’s new?

A refreshed registration and onboarding experience for parents

When you sign up for the EasyPeasy app as a parent or caregiver, you’ll notice a new, guided onboarding journey. We’ve built this with real parents and caregivers, so we know it’s supportive and easy to use.

  • More relevant questions: We ask about your child’s age, your current challenges (like sleep or mealtimes), and your long-term parenting goals.
  • Four age bands: From 0–12 months up to 43–60+ months, ensuring every content recommendation is age-appropriate for each and every child.
  • Tailored support from day one: The more we know about your needs, the smarter our tips and activities become.

If you’re an existing parent user, you’ll get an in-app message and email inviting you to update your profile. This only takes a couple of minutes and unlocks even more relevant content.

Smarter and more personalised content recommendations

We’ve revamped how we organise our tips and activities and now have over 200 topics aligned with national frameworks, like the Family Hub service areas, Ages & Stages, and the Early Years Foundation Stage goals. This means:

  • More practical support now: Help with everyday parenting challenges.
  • More aspirational support for the future: Guidance to help you grow into the parent you want to be.
  • More continuity: You won’t lose your history; everything is mapped over automatically.

An expanded library of parenting activities and tips

With this update, we’ve added around 100 new ideas for play, learning and family wellbeing, and more will be coming soon! Every activity is tagged so our recommendation engine can serve you the most relevant ones, from playful learning prompts to tips on managing big feelings. These changes and updates are the result of co-design with parents from across the country, so we know you’ll love the tips and activities.

And that’s not all - we’ve also expanded our library of Family Information Services (FIS) content. Our community of parents, caregivers, and practitioners will now notice a refreshed set of links and resources designed to help you quickly discover trusted support for everything from child development and health, to parenting, SEND, and family wellbeing.

What this means for our practitioner community

To help you in your important work, we are making it easier to use EasyPeasy in your professional settings and receive coaching and tips that are tailored specifically to your needs as an early years practitioner.

Early years practitioners who are registering for the EasyPeasy app will now have a refreshed onboarding experience and access to a broader range of topic areas and a wider content library - making it easier to use EasyPeasy as a professional tool with families across a range of early years settings.
