At EasyPeasy, we believe in inclusion, not isolation. That’s why we’re thrilled to introduce a brand-new beta feature designed to support practitioners working with young children with Special Educational Needs (SEN). Starting today, practitioners using the EasyPeasy app will find a carefully curated selection of SEN resources integrated into the app, helping to make our activities even more accessible.
What’s new?
With this latest update, practitioners can now access specific guidance on adapting EasyPeasy activities for children with SEN.
Here’s what’s included:
- SEN-Specific Adaptations – Practical guidance on how to modify an activity to better suit children with different needs.
- Accessibility Considerations – Tips on using visual aids, managing sensory sensitivities, reducing noise levels, applying calming techniques, using simple language, and providing positive encouragement.
- Easy Navigation – A dedicated topic area that contains all SEN-adapted content, making it easier to plan inclusive activities.
Who can access this feature?
This is currently freely available to any practitioner using the EasyPeasy app—just update your app via your phone settings or app store, and you’ll see SEN resources appear alongside relevant activities. We’re launching with approximately 30 long-form and video content pieces featuring SEN-specific guidance, with more to follow throughout the year. We’re committed to expanding this resource bank and refining our approach based on practitioner feedback.
SEN resources are currently only available to practitioners and not to parents, however, we are continually exploring ways to enhance inclusivity across our platform.
